Remarks from Dusit International's Chief Executive Officer Chanin Donavanik over three new properties in Southern Thailand has created market speculation.

Part of the group's acquisition of the Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket involved an adjacent land parcel which has building approvals for either a freestanding hotel or expansion of the existing hotel. A possibility for a dusitD2 to be located next door has been entertained in the marketplace.

Over the bridge in Phang Nga the Devarana Eighth Heaven facing into Phang Nga Bay has been an on again off again project designed by Thailand's The Beaumont Group.

While in Koh Samui the rumor mill continues to churn over the return of the Dusit brand to the island in the very near future.

A financial re gearing of the Thai hotel giant will see the launch of the THB4 billion Dusit Thani Freehold and Leasehold Property Fund shortly.

Also assisting the balance sheet has been a timely disposition of the Royal Princess Larn Luang Hotel for an estimated THB600 million
