It looks to be casino wars in Singapore back of the announcement by Las Vegas Sands Chairman Sheldon Adelson that the delayed plagued Marina Bay Sands project would open in April and not February as previously announced.

At the same time Genting International who are developing Singapore's other casino Resorts World at Sentosa have stated a soft launch within the first quarter of 2010; which will bring them winners by a nose over the Sands project.

World class attraction Universal Studios theme park which is part of the integrated Sentosa island destination is set to be yet another high profile kudos for Singapore and will be one of Asia's major family vacation spots. The island state has managed to somehow mix gambling and wholesome entertainment in close proximity to each other which provides a fairly diverse market mix.
