Thailand's Amari Hotels Investing US$44.1 into Asia/India

Set to grow the Thai chain Amari Hotels, the group has announced a US$44 plan to invest US$44 million into Asia and India by 2010. Currently the group operates 11 properties in Thailand including Phuket and has undergone a comprehensive rebranding and development of a strategic expansion program.

Editors note: this story was updated as Amari has clarified the expansion fund is targeted to Asia with a strategic emphasis on India

Would you by any chance know any new hotels that are coming up under Amari Group? In addition,I haeard that there is one coming up in Samui but it is still put on hold.

They recently completed a rebranding and are looking to expand not only on assets but outside management agreements, they have geared up the team and now a new look so no doubt will be seeing announcements soon.
