The THA (Thai Hotels Association) will go live with an online booking site this November.
Content will come from member properties and the move is aimed at creating competition to the surge of OTA's.
Using the domain Thaihotels.org the site will provide both Thai and English language option.
There are reportedly over 700 hotels in THA and member properties will still have to pay a 15% commission so it remains to be seen how effective the initiative is to leveling the playing field.
