Thai Firm CEL Engineers Entering Hotel Development Arena

Thai based construction management firm CEL Engineers Ltd are moving into the hotel development sector according to public comments by the Managing Director Dr. Jaturun Siraphongphan.

A series of joint venture partnership is in the works in resort destinations Koh Samui, Hua Hin and Phuket.

In a published report in The Nation newspaper a 60 key 4 star hotel in Hua Hin in underway and a second project in Samui.

CEL has been active in a number of large residential developments including Bangkok's Millennium Residence and the Issara Ladpraao. Hospitality work included Banyan Tree at Laguna Phuket, Twin Lotus Resort in Koh Lanta and Hua Hin's Palm Hills Golf Resort.

As with many other Thai groups the company is diversifying into the overseas markets in India and the Middle East and looks to mitigate it's business model with the move into hotels.
