Singaporean property development group Pontiac Land are targeting the luxury hotel sector with the new Patina Hotels and Resorts group.

Patina is expected to slot into the limited playing field of ultra luxury or six star hotels.

Veteran hotelier Marc Dardenne has been brought on board as Chief Executive Officer to develop the new upstart management group.

A flagship property is under development in Singapore with an expected opening in 2014.

Meanwhile the group are looking at expansion in Asia through operating contracts and are viewing equity opportunities in Europe and the US.
