As the island's hospitality industry continues to only move upwards, a growing support sector is being created here locally.

One such discipline is hotel training. I spoke to Tim Holzapfel recently from Mise En Place about how they see development moving.

The company has offices throughout Thailand including Bangkok and Koh Samui and has been on the ground for eight years.

Key areas of expertise include hospitality skills training, total quality management and language offerings.

Clients include both international and local chains and independent properties.

One area that is moving forward quickly is teambuilding and Mis En Place has set up a targeted offering for this segment.
