Scanning the recent "want ads" in the Phuket Gazette I could not help by notice the creep of recruitment postings for new Samui luxury hospitality players.
Amongst those listed included a casting call for the soon to open upscale Conrad resort and a senior property position for W's Residences.
As Thailand's hospitality sector surges human capital is set to become an increasing commodity and Phuket runs the risk of a talent drain to other destinations.
At the same time it's also somewhat reassuring to see how the island remains a benchmark for success with a skilled workforce and growing sophistication of skills.
