One of the regions listed hotel chains Singapore's Pan Pacific Hotels Group has just announced a name change from Hotel Plaza Limited. Operating properties under the Pan Pacific and Parkroyal brands, the group is a subsidiary of UOL Group Limited whose focus has been primarily property and is now widening its horizon to include the hotel chains growth.
Former InterContinental group executive in Asia Patrick Imbardelli has been brought on board as President and CEO with an eye to grow critical mass for the brands, with Phuket naturally being considered a priority resort market. Currently the chain has 30 hotel and over 10,000 rooms under development.
