Onyx Expanding In Samui and Phuket

Onyx Hospitality Group (formerly Amari) have announced a new select service hotel in Koh Samui under their Ozo brand. Located in Chaweng beach, the property is set to open in 2012. Between 200-220 keys are in the process of being finalized in design development.

In Phuket a mixed use project similar to the Amari Residences in Hua Hin is in early stages. Located on land adjacent to the existing Amari Coral Beach in Patong. Tentative plans call for a 2013 completion.

Also on the island an affiliated company which owns and operates three Baan Krating branded properties in Phuket, Khao Lak and Pai is expanding its 65 key resort in Nai Harn.

The small chain has common ownership with Onyx and falls under its marketing regime, but is operated independently.
