Hong Kong's New World Hospitality group which has long been associated as a hotel developer and owner is launched their international brand ambitions.
Existing hotels in China, Vietnam and Philippines of which some where managed by global chains and others under New World have now been unified going forward.
A new team of key executives which includes some major players from Shangri- La are on board to develop and expand a multi-tier portfolio.
Aside from the core namesake, the group also trades the select service Pentahotels brand mainly in China and a new upscale luxury brand will be brought to market soon.
Hong Kong based consultant James Stuart and his Brand Company have been working with the group.
In Phuket there is much speculation that an ownership stake in the South Patong Emerald Bay (often associated as a Park Hyatt property) will see development spurred by the Hong Kong conglomerate.
