Marriott International and Destination Properties Thailand have parted ways over the management of four Courtyard flagged hotels in Thailand.
The properties are Courtyard by Marriott's in Patong, Kamala Beach, and Surin Beach in Phuket and one in Cha Am.
It's expected a conversion to another international management company will take place prior to April 1st.
According to local staff they have been informed of the change of operator and that employees will be retained.
Marriott has issued the following statement by Philip Bryson, Area Vice President for Marriott in South East Asia, said "We are happy to conclude these discussions with our partners at Destination Properties and we wish them well with the on-going success of these four Hotels and we are excited to continue working with them on other existing projects here in Thailand".
Destination with principal Gary Murray also own the Hilton Hua Hin, Talay Karon which is currently closed for expansion and a suspended hotel project in Kamala (formerly the Kamala Bay Terrace Hotel) which had been announced to be managed by Marriott under their core brand.
