Malaysia's Destination Resorts and Hotels are changing their hospitality brand to Datai.
Previously the group had operated under Archipelago, but now want to embrace the core values of one of their iconic properties.
Of course the Indonesian hotel group Aston had changed their name to Archipelago recently but there is no connection to the changes.
Datai will use the brand for two new offerings at Desaru Coast in Johor.
The latter is a new mega development, master planned with multiple-hotels, marina, golf courses, residential and theme parks.
