Hong Kong's Compass Hospitality Group have taken over management of the 77 villa and suite upscale Gurich Resort Lamai in Koh Samui.
It's understood a number of international chains had been in the operator hunt during the past few months.
Formerly the property had been operated by Langham Hotels International under the Langham Place brand.
Compass manage 30 properties in Thailand and just signed their fifth hotel in Malaysia the Citrus Hotel Johor Baharu.
Brands under the group include Compass, Citrus, Citin and Ananda Spa.
