Katathani Opening Boutique Luxury Pool Villa Resort

Pool villas continue to dominate upscale resort demand on the island and a new 36 villa The Shore at Katathani boutique development is set for grand opening this November.

Operated as a top end component of the long established Katathani Resort in Kata Noi introductory rates start at THB17,850 per night. Premium units all have ocean views.

Configurations for the all pool villa property include 24 one bedroom units of 130 square meters, 4 split-level two bedroom at 260 square meters and 8 garden one bedroom garden villas.

With a number of all pool villa resorts now either coming on line or else resorts which have replaced the once vaunted premium suite units with pool villas. It will be interesting to see the impact on average room rates over the next year. There appears to be tremendous rate pressure for a rapidly ageing supply chain of traditional hotel products and this may create rate compression on a wider basis.
