The Club Med resort on Kata beach is set to be renovated this year according to the company.

While the group continues to prosper in Southeast Asia one of its primary growth targets is into China.

Privately held Chinese firm Fosun which acquired a 10% equity stake is spearheading development which Club Med expects to evolve into their second largest market.

After opening a village in Yabuli, plans call for five more properties to enter the pipeline in the next 5 years.

One of the strongest indicators of brand metrics is that for the full year 2010 56% of bookings were made direct to the chain.

Glad to hear the news. I have booked for a family holiday from 8 December 2011 andwas concerned about the negative reviews of the accommodation on various sites e.g. TripAdvisor.
When does the renovation begin and what is the estimated completion date? Bill Barnett responds:
Best to check with the hotel direct on completion dates.
