Global chain Hyatt have signed a deal set to commence on April 1st for the management of a luxury 50 villa resort which was previously the Alila Villas Hadahaa.

The hotel owner is Driftwood Maldives Private Ltd. which is controlled by Thailand's KS Group - and the new name of the property is Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa.

The same company recently invested into the Phuket upscale The Yamu along with Singapore's Como Hotels and Resorts.

Many industry watchers are viewing the developments of the KS Group and Alila seperation as speculation mounts on what operators will be appointed in Cha-Am (Hua Hin), Luang Prabang, and a non chain managed hotel in Siem Reap.

Its understood the top tier Hyatt brand also a property in the pipeline on Phuket which is yet to be formally announced.
