By now you would have hopefully noticed the new Facebook Timeline function.
Clearly social networking sites are growing at a faster pace than websites. Next time you are in a public place, just look at the throngs of people with bowed head immersed in their smartphones.
Tech savy companies are already tapping into the new Facebook format which focused on larger photos. Given an increasing information overload, users now tend to gravitate toward visual elements with greater chances of success for online promoters.
Facebook remains all about photos, sharing and likes, so companies who embrace the trend will no doubt be able to tap into a wider market.
As for those millions of clicks of meals and food dishes, like it or not, visuals work.
