Outrigger Serenity Terraces Resort has opened its doors and has taken in its first guests. Located directly on the ocean with 78 keys, the property has great views of Phang Nga Bay. Speaking to General Manager Pieter Van Der Hoeven who commented "overseas interest has been high particularly in the Australia and North Asian markets of Japan and Korea." Located near to the recently upgraded and repositioned Vijiit Resort and Evason Resort, the area is emerging with new products that look to compete with its northern neighbors in Bangtao, Surin, Kamala and Mai Khao.

Hawaii's largest hotel management group, Outrigger has established a regional development and operations office in Phuket for Asia and already has one property open in Bali, with a second on the way. On the island it West Sands Outrigger Resort which is under development and has signed a large scale project in Sanya China.
