Singapore based Furama Hotels International Management (FHIM) has branded 3 hotels in Greater Phuket as it expands the chain which already operates over 3000 rooms within Asia.
In Patong the 129 room Kris Hotel and Spa Phuket has been renamed FX Resort Patong. Also the 77 key Kris @ Patong Beach is now FuramaXclusive which just opened in June of this year.
Another reflagging has taken place in Khao Lak for the former Bangniang Beach Resort who's new name is FX Resort Khao Lak.
The chain also has properties in Singapore, Bangkok, Bali, Beijing, Chiang Mai, Pattaya and Shanghai amongst others.
In 2008 the company fast tracked their growth plans in Thailand with a joint venture of 3 hotels in Bangkok with Unico Holdings.
Furama is controlled by the Singapore Ng family.
