Quotes by Dusit International CEO Chanin Donavanik in the Bangkok Post indicate the group will update five properties including Phuket in order to capitalize on increasing tourism numbers.
Properties mentioned were also Bangkok, Hua Hin and Pattaya.
The Laguna complex is seeing a spate of upgrades with the former Sheraton Grande now undergoing a major redo and change of branding to Banyan Tree's Angsana.
It's understood the Laguna Beach Resort which was sold recently to a private equity fund will upgrade the property at the end of the upcoming high season.
