Leading international travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller UK has named two Phuket Resorts to their just released 'The Hot List 2009.' Coming in at number 2 was the recently opened Anantara Phuket Resort and Spa in the growing Mai Khao area and Naka Yai's Six Senses Destination Spa at number 50 on the list.
Both the Six Senses and Anantara chains are Thailand based and show the trend of regional brands now getting worldwide recognition and kudos. Both of these resorts are smaller in size and have significant local design elements. Clearly this shows a shift in the market where more personal and unique hotels are becoming desired by guests.
