Phuket's tourism market is rapidly changing with Chinese and Russian visitors now accounting for 37% of international airport arrivals.

C9 Hotelworks has released the 2012 Phuket Hotel Market Update featuring research into what's driving tourists off the beach and into the island's shopping malls and entertainment attractions.

There are also new metrics for the island's hotel market, marina sector, international schools and infrastructure update.

Can you offer any further details on the following statement: "Wholesale segment led the indirect channels driven by Chinese and Russian visitors"? Bill Barnett responds:
This is the segment whic is wholesale operators such the large tour groups from China and Russia.
