According to industry sources the high profile Lehman's Baan Taling Ngam resort has been sold to a Thai group for approximately THB 750 million. The buyer is reportedly the Srivikorn family who own the Bangkok InterContinental Hotel.
Despite Thailand's current political uncertainty, the transaction which has been closely watched by the market reached well above most valuations for the property.
Within the next two weeks a well known branded Phuket beachfront property will be entering the market and is already creating considerable buzz over the current increase in hospitality transactions within the Thai resort areas.
