Best Western to brand Patong Hotel

The international hotel franchise and management company Best Western has announced they will brand the 136-room Best Western Vises Patong Hotel. This is the forth property on the island to carry the flag, with others located in Bangtao, Karon and Paklok. Previously Best Western focused on a single brand franchise model but in the last few years in Asia have spurred into management agreements and created a more upscale Premier brand.

There is an expectation to see more independent properties seeks international management and marketing alliances given the current state of worldwide tourism. Despite growth in Internet technology, which has allowed smaller owners to compete against larger linked distribution systems, consumer and traveler in confidence in choosing a branded property still remains a critical issue for many booking their accommodation.
