Hospitality group Banyan Tree Holdings have raised USD214 million for a new private equity Banyan Tree China Hospitality Fund.
The Singapore group have publicly stated their intention to reduce what is considered to be over exposure to the Thai market via last year's sale of the Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket.
Previously a Vietnam vehicle for the integrated destination resort Laguna Hue project was funded via a Banyan Tree Indochina Hospitality Fund which raised a reported USD283 million.
