While television screens and newspapers around the world have chuckled at what is being termed as the Bangkok 'red shirt's great escape'; what reports have failed to mention is who the owner of SC Park is? As per today's The Nation newspaper the former De Ville Palace Hotel was bought over in 1994 by none other than SC Asset Corporation. The hotel was then renamed SC Park Hotel. As for SC Asset of course this is part of the Shin empire of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. Coincidence or not, we will leave that one to you.
