Major Australian resort management company Mantra are actively targeting resort growth in Asia according to a recent discussion I had with CEO Bob East at the HICAP Singapore Investment Conference.
Setting its eyes on other groups which specialize in hospitality led residential resorts like Outrigger and Aston who have created an impact in the region; Mantra is looking to bring its stable of brands which include Peppers, BreakFree and the core offering here.
Key resort destinations such as Bali, Phuket, Vietnam and Malaysia already have large concentrations of Australian tourist so the brand are already known and offer a opportunity to tap into the growing property pipeline.
