Nearly five years after the Allamanda Phuket was branded under the Best Western chain, the two groups are parting ways.
Going forward the 115 unit property will be known as Allamanda Laguna Phuket.
It's understood the management is looking at rebranding possibilities, but for the moment will be operated independently.
Hotel branded residences at the islands leading destination resort are having a defined impact on the accommodation market.
Within the resort Banyan Tree, Dusit, Angsana, Outrigger Laguna Village, Allamanda and Laguna Holiday Club each have a number of properties under individual ownership schemes.
This number is set to rise with the entry of the new Laguna Shores which is currently under development, and will be managed by a third brand which has yet to be announced, under the Banyan Tree group
