Boutique hotel group Aleenta will be opening a new property in Koh Samui with the signing of the 62 room The Akyra Chura Samui.
Set to soft open in February 2011,it's located in popular Chaweng Beach.
"Akyra" is Sanskrit, means Source of Light (or the Sun).
The first Akyra in Thailand signals the expansion plans for the chain in the hotel management arena.
Also in the works is an Aleenta Samui project with 60 rooms set to hit the market in August of next year.
