While we all, or at least should understand the benefits of more green areas to help save the planet a project in the US is now looking at vertical gardens on a city high-rise. The façade of a Government building in Portland Oregon will have a mega hedge or vertical garden which reportedly will rise more than 60 meters above the ground.
While proponents are taking a stance that long term energy savings will result, there are many critics who say the associated costs of for the structure are a waste of taxpayers' money. While the controversy rages, some of the more comical opinions have been voices about how to mow the grass or water the lawn on a sideways space.
