Growing concern over the clearly apparent effects of global warming has the Pacific Island nation of Kiribati on the lookout for new digs.

Climate change is at the heart of the problems, which are already seeing a surge in strong storms and rising tides. Fragile coastlines are already at risk.

A weak economy relies on little more than selling off fishing rights to Asian operators and diminishing foreign aid.

The country has been purchasing bits of real estate in Fiji, but many islander's firmly believe in staying in their homes as long as possible.
