A United Nations initiative has resulted in the launch of a program called "The Green Wave", to education the younger generation about biodiversity.
Organized by the UN Secretariat of Convention on Biological Diversity part of the mission is to highlight the crises on global forestation, extinction of animal species and the degradation of fragile ecosystems.
On May 22nd a global Green Wave Action Day is scheduled.
