The lights are set to go off on Phuket this coming March 26th between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm as part of the global earth hour.
According to organizers over 1 billion people are expected to participate in 223 countries.
What started in 2007 by the WWF and The Sydney Morning Herald has now spread thought the world as a growing voice on the critical issue of climate change.
Here on the island local media outlet FM91.5 is spearheading efforts to promote participation in both English and Thai.
