An emerging global trend toward LED lighting is set to have a profound effect on energy efficiency in lighting.
Independent reports peg LED are providing up to 85% increased savings over traditional lights.
Global research firm McKinsey & Company say that by 2015, LED will hold between 40-50% of the marketplace.
Hotels are quickly tapping into the trend given that energy costs are an one of the highlight overhead expenses of any operation.
A secondary factor is that designers love to use the flexible lights for its wide color spectrum and nearly endless applications.
