Bill Barnett is the Founder and Managing Director of C9 Hotelworks, a leading hospitality consulting firm specializing in the Asia Pacific region, based in Phuket, Thailand. He has over 23 years of ''on the ground'' experience within key and developing markets which gives him considerable experience and relevant background to draw from when advising clients.
Previously, as Deputy Managing Director of the publically listed leading Asian destination integrated resort development Laguna Phuket, he was instrumental in establishing a branded hotel managed residential property division into a prominent real estate operation. Prior to this he was Chief Operating Officer - Asia/Pacific for Millennium & Copthorne Hotels in Singapore, where his responsibility covered 43 operating and hotel assets. As an executive with Century International Hotels in Hong Kong, he played a key role in the expansion of the chain for 9 years with Vice President positions in operations, development and asset management.
With his vast experience in asset management, he has acted in ownership representation on significant hotels such as the Regent Beverly Wilshire, Four Seasons New York, Ritz Carlton Hong Kong, Hilton Seoul, Westin Philippine Plaza, Grand Hyatt Taipei and the Sofitel Silom Bangkok. He was the first American hotel executive, in 1991, to manage a property in post war Vietnam. He attended executive education courses at Cornell University School of Hospitality Management and is currently a member of ISHC (International Society of Hospitality Consultants) and was awarded a prestigious PATA Gold Award in 2007. In addition to having his own popular property column in a leading tourism and property based newspaper, Phuket Gazette, he is now a regular commentator on CNBC, BBC, CNN and regional news and financial publications.
Nikhom (Nick) Jensiriratanakorn is Assistant Vice President of C9 Hotelworks who’s focus is primarily on market research and feasibility studies. He is an alumnus of Cornell-Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management, which is affiliated to the prestigious US based Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration; and is well connected to industry leaders in Singapore. His post-graduate education focused on hospitality project development and operations as at Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Prior work experience includes employment with leading global consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Rakamon Hirunrat Graduated from Prince of Songkhla University Phuket Campus, Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management. She started working 1998 at Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort & Spa as convention coordinator, and since has spent 11 years in the hospitality industry.
